Walking with an old lady!:)

As a service part of my CAS I chose to walk with an aging woman every week.  My family and me moved to a new apartment and met new neighbors who are in their 70s,  they are a nice couple but don't have any siblings living close to this place.
After meeting them twice I realized that a lady has some problems with seeing things and she sometimes goes outside in a will chair.  I thought of offering her my help,   and she agreed!
I planned walking with her every week.  It turned out that she is a very friendly women and she told me some stories about her,  how she met her husband and somethings about her childhood.
In my opinion by doing this activity i showed perseverance and commitment of my actions I also undertook new challenges as I never before helped an old woman walking,  except my grandparents.
I also planned and initiated the activity as we both had to choose a day convenient for both of us,  and the suitable time. I think i also considered ethical implications of my actions.
Other outcomes,  which were't present are:

  • Increased their awareness of their own strength and areas for growth.
  • Engaged with issues of global importance.
  • Developed new skills.
